Broken
Creative Conception & Exhibition Design
Broken is a digital installation developed through interdisciplinary research in digital arts. I led the spatial narrative and exhibition design, translating academic research into a public-facing immersive experience. The installation combines video projection and sound design within a fully immersive spatial environment.
Digital ambiance
The basis of the installation is an immersive one-channel loop video, projected on the floor (base) of the monumental spiral staircase (10 m high) in the form of a circle (3,2 m radius). Video is abandoning its standard shape and frontal orientation and makes coherent unity with the architecture.
Immersion
The installation was designed as an immersive, spatial experience where visitors could move freely around the projection, including up and down a staircase, choosing their own point of view. Looking down onto a circular video environment and surrounded by layered sound, they were invited to “dive” into a fully constructed audiovisual world.
Digital sound
Sound is distributed throughout the space to reinforce depth, movement, and immersion, shaping how visitors experience the work from different vantage points.
